Sheep Farmer, lived in Stoneham, Lewes, bred Southdown Sheep, according to the Times Friday, Dec 01, 1911; pg. 11, Sir William Grantham QC, MP, inherited his land. Stephen won the Francis Duke of Bedford's Special Gold Medal for his Southdown sheep flock that he kept near Lewes: he started breeding Southdowns in 1810 and accumulated numerous Smithfield awards over thirty years. Member of the Royal Agricultural society
